Profitability Research

But here's where not all markets are created equal.

Some markets just do not pan out. Sometimes there aren't enough advertisers or products for you to promote.

It's also a sign that you don't want to enter that market if you want to earn some money.

So you need to do some research before-hand and make sure the topic is something where there's money being made.

In each Niche Toolkit, I'll include ideas for content your list wants (I research all this for you so you don't have to). I'll give you ideas for topics and ideas for how to monetize your list.

Keyword research can really make or break a niche site. With 10 years of experience in this, it's something that I'm very good at. 

So I've done all the keyword research for you in these Niche Toolkits.

You'll get a CSV file with at least 2,000 of the top phrases (nested phrases and related phrases) for the niche along with estimated monthly searches. 

As you can imagine, just a list of keyphrases isn't always that helpful. So I'll also give you ideas for structuring your site. 

I include ideas for building a large site complete with categories as well as smaller sites based around a single category or even a group of keyphrases. 

I'll also give you a list of keyphrases you can turn into article topics (people love these and based on my experience, these articles do very well on the search engines). 

And I'll also give you a list of keyphrases that have low competition.

I do want to point out that one misleading fact when dealing with competition in the search engines is that no keyword tool is smart enough to assess your true competition. The problem is you need to actually visit the top sites to figure out how competitive the market is.

You need to see the quality of the sites that are already ranking high.

You need to look at how many backlinks they have and the quality of those backlinks.

As you can see, this is really not something that a piece of software can tell you.  So I'll give you a summary of my take on the overall competition level for the niche.

And as you've probably heard, quality content is the number one thing to keep in mind when you're building a niche site.

So I'll give you a short list of the top sites to use as resources when writing your content. 

If you're outsourcing, then you can hand this list off to your writer. This will ensure they're using the best sites for their research.

Also, no matter how you plan to get traffic to your niche site, whether SEO, social media, forums, etc... you need to stand out. It's not always enough to have generic articles written around keyphrases anymore.

Especially if you decide you want #1 rankings for a competitive keyphrase (and why wouldn't you?).

In these cases, sometimes you need a little more.

So I'll give you ideas for content that will help make your site stand-out. I call this Magnetic Content, but you may have also heard this type of content described as link bait or viral content. 

Whatever you want to call it, having content like this on your site will help you when it comes time to promote your niche site, because it draws in visitors (as well as backlinks for getting higher rankings).

Promotional Research

If you're into SEO then I just want to point out to you that instead of building 1,000's of spammy links to your site, you can actually just get a few very high quality links and end up with higher rankings.

I know that's not what you hear from pretty much everyone else out there, but it is a fact.

And I'm sure you realize by now that social media is really taking off. Those that go the extra mile and set up Twitter and Facebook accounts for their sites are really benefiting.

Plus forums and blogs can send you traffic along with quality links. Especially if you take the time to post relevant comments along with a link back to your site.
